Billet is the product of molten steel produced by steel furnace after casting.The billet can be divided into two types from the manufacturing process: diecasting billet and continuous casting billet, and the die casting process hasbeen basically eliminated. Continuous cast steel billet and rectangular billetare mainly represented by plain carbon steel, low carbon and low silicon coldrolled material, high quality carbon structural steel, low alloy high strengthsteel, special steel, etc.
Billets are produced by three processes:First, through the continuous casting equipment of the steelmaking system,the steel billet is directly cast from molten steel;Second, the steel ingot or continuous casting billet produced by the steelmaking system is processed by the rolling equipment of the steel rollingsystem.
